I went for a quick (60 minute) drive

green landscape

At the beginning of this month, Glenormiston received most of their yearly average rainfall in the space of about 6 days. Its been 2 weeks since then and I went to have a looky loo at the water level at the bridge and the green that has grown.

The rainfall was enough to set the station in good feed and water for the next 12-18 months.

Spare a thought though for the neighbours that got next to no rain.

I did not make to the bridge, stopping at a channel that when I walked it was knee deep with soft mud and water. I am not ready to take on mud without adequate back up.

It was the first time I have driven since bringing my car back from the tyre change.

Yes folks I remember how to change gears…

Once I hit the highway, my little phone went mad. So I quickly pulled over and rang the family. after 10 minutes the signal died and I continued to the water.

I believe the water would be about 0.4 m over the bridge which is down from yesterday afternoon’s 0.6mDSC_0691
